Space Planning & Workflow Design

A “One-Size Fits All” CSSD Does Not Exist!

We understand the numerous factors critical to evaluate early in the project planning phase that impact the final design of a CSSD. A few examples of these considerations include case volume and specialties, 2-zone vs. 3-zone, House steam or steam generation at equipment, Pit-mounted vs. floor-mounted equipment.

Efficient workflows and proper space programming are critical to the success of every CSSD. From soiled case cart staging in decontamination to cart cooling space post-steam sterilization, all details must be taken into consideration. Whether a new construction or renovation project, Belimed Blueprint will work directly with the end-user to evaluate the space and provide expert recommendations abiding to all regulatory guidelines.

Belimed Blueprint – Expert Planners

Our approach to CSSD design is always consistent – Understand the customer’s throughput needs to provide a data-driven equipment and CSSD layout solution. The customer can then select final equipment options and configurations according to their preference.

Our design team is highly skilled and proficient in Revit to bring a CSSD design to life. See the “3D Visualization” page for more info. This allows for higher confidence and understanding of the CSSD space prior to starting construction.

Renovating/expanding an existing CSSD? Belimed Blueprint specializes in developing phasing strategies to keep your CSSD operational during the renovation. These phasing plans can be incorporated into the Belimed drawing set to visualize phasing sequence and infection control barrier (ICRA) clearances.
